about me

(taking a picture of my beautiful boys at one of my favorite places - the Children's Museum of Phoenix)

Like many people, my life has been about finding my perfect creative outlet.  How to bridge the gap between what I see in my mind, what I feel in my heart and how I portray those ideas to others. From graphic design, art history, even psychology I have searched for that perfect way to express myself.  Yet, the one constant has always been my love for taking pictures. From those early attempts at capturing the perfect photograph, the expression of beauty in everyday life has been my passion since I was a little girl.   That passion (or obsession as it seems to be!) has grown exponentially since I had my two boys, Jack and Wyatt.  Compelled to document their journeys in a beautiful way, I rarely put the camera down these days.

Only as a mother of two have I become acutely aware of just how quickly time passes, and how fast my children are growing up: the first grainy ultrasound picture, first foods, tentative first steps, solo bike rides, first day of school ... it goes on and on. A photograph can bring back these memories so vividly. The smell of the orange blossoms, the breeze through our big ash trees in the front yard. Childhood, family and life itself is such a precious gift. Taking photographs, to me, is the best way to preserve the memories we create.. . . these moments are fleeting.  I think a great photograph is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself or someone else.  I would love the opportunity to capture those moments for you and your family - that you can enjoy today, tomorrow and for a lifetime.

xoxo,
Brandi
